Because of your glowing reports on this gun, I decided to get one for myself and give it a try. I don't have it yet but when I do, I will let everyone know what I think about it. I hope it lives up to your descriptions.

Passing on the one I could have gotten was a mistake...hell you can buy 2 for what a CZ costs...ALMOST! If price wasnt brought into it...yould think of it as a Kahr/Sig/Kimber quality gun for machining, fit etc :what:

I actually put my bid in almost a week ago but I couldn't anything for fear of someone outbidding me.:uhoh:

There is only one guy selling these on the web right now and he doesn't have many left on Auction Arms. He had half a dozen open auctions but he ended some of them early (he probably sold them locally) and there were only two left, I got one and someone else got the other. I bet it was someone from here that bought the other one.

He still has a few on Gunbroker but the price is a little higher. He is supposed to be getting some more.

I paid $209.99 +$18.99 shipping.

I've owned Kahrs, SIGs, Berettas, Glocks, Colts, CZs, and other good guns so I am going to judge it against them. If it really holds up to what you guys are saying about them, I may buy one more just to have.

You will probably get a better deal than from the auctions...However, you got a very good price firestar...

I would go ahead nad buy some xtra mags from shawn....they are only like 12 dollars a piece, and they are very reliable.

My RAP (Father's Day present) from Shawn should be here in a couple days. Sounds like he's about out of them. $225 shipped for gun and 1 mag. Extra mags $12.50 each.

I told him that I let people on this site know about his guns and the reply above is his answer.

Looks like they may be hard to get for a while but I bet someone will have them soon. He did sell out of them and I'm sure there are more somewhere in South Africa.

I'm glad I didn't wait and I bought one before they were gone.:D Knowing my luck, they will be selling for $150 when he gets more in.:banghead: I paid about $242 with the extra mag and shipping. My FFL costs me another $10 so it is just over $250. Still not bad if this is as good as it looks.

There aren't many guns out there for less than $250 new that are top quality. Even Ruger charges more than that. I can't wait to get my hands on my new gun and shoot it.

Well, we all know about supply and demand...and all of us bantering about them has created a demand, that has overtaken the supply....

Iti s our fault the price has gone up. They USED to be 199. I am still glad I got mine for 220, with two mags.

Has anyone from Maryland bought one of these recently? I'm interested in getting one but to get a new pistol shipped here it has to come with a shell casing from the factory :barf: and have an internal lock :barf: . Anyone want to shine any light on how complient these are?

Maryland is why we are seeing so many new guns coming out with these internal locks.
I don't remember anyone asking gunsmiths to custom make internal locks.

No. It is made by Republic Arms in South Africa. Not just a renamed Astra but a clone. I hear it is an improvement by those who have them.

The RAP has the added feature of a safety that decocks instead of just a decocker in the A75.

Hi Guys,

Just want to make mention that if you want to get a RAP, find yourself a local FFL - preferably one who operates out of their house. These were listed in the monthly catalogs last Feb for $205...from whom, the name escapes me. Mine charges $25 for transfer or 10%, whichever is greater. I was told that one of the big distributors bought CAI's remaining stock. Happy shooting!
