Anyone have both the Gransfors Bruk Mini Hatchet and Wildlife hatchet and care to comment on the differences? I've read the specs but was hoping to get opinions as to feel, etc.

Also, anyone have a recommendation for an online dealer in gransfors bruk products?

I don't own either model so FWIW: The mini seems very small. I would only choose this one over the Wildlife if I absolutely wanted to carry it for its compact size. Overall, the Wildlife is a much more versatile tool.

Yes sir, I've carried it in the field when we were flown in by DPS to rescue two people last summer.

We knew ahead of time we needed to clear an area for an LZ for them after we made our way to their location after being dropped in about 1.5 miles away. That little Gransfors Bruk was THE tool in that endeavor. The other SAR person had a small hatchet that was nowhere near as sharp, not stayed sharp for the task at hand.

It's a little too heavy to carry in the pack all the time, as space and weight are critical issues in the desert heat, but it was a hit with the team who saw it after we extricated the scene.
