Other than here and the old TFL, are there other general/generic gun forums out there to explore?
I dont mean Glock Talk, or AR15.com....I just want something non-specific, like here.

www.familyfriendsfirearms.com
Basically a gun related board but it seems the majority of the posts are not gun related. Not that that's a bad thing.
Friendly buch.

Gun Talk (http://www.gun-talk.com) and Pro Shooter (http://www.proshooter.org) come to mind. Niether has the depth or character found here or on TFL.

Sixgunner.com (http://www.sixgunner.com)
There are two types of forums there (New Board & Campfire). Most of the discussion focuses on older firearms (sixguns & leverguns in particular--:D ), but the discussion broadens out on occasion. It's one of my favorite places--present company excluded.

I got the e-mail, and posted a few things to the site. Great potential there. I like the vast category listings for the forum.

By all means join us at http://canadiangunnutz.com/. Your opinion and input is valued. It's a Canadian forum with lots of info about what's going on up here. There are a few other Americans with us already. Bring your friends.

This is kind of on-topic. Is TFL going away? I'm new to all of these forums and when I went to TFL I sawa lot of "goodbye TFL" posts so I came here and stopped going there. What's the deal?

Arinvolvo;
www.shooters.com: A complete forum with a big problem. No new members allowed at present. The ownership has been in transition for quite some time now, in excess of 6 months I think.
In any case the search function is at least decent & if you have a question, it's an excellent source.
www.baitshopboyz.com: A smaller Montana based forum that has had its share of problems getting a stable server, but now seems to be long-term viable. Primarily populated by real people with honest personalities rather than webrats. Membership is mostly Rocky Mtns & west, with good Canadian representation.
The moderator has the knack of proposing excellent questions.
Broader based than just guns, also takes in hunting, packing, and cooking.

Sunray,
I tried your Canadiangunnutz.com.
I sure didn't feel very welcome. Some of the fellas were great. But Got tired of some of the punches being thrown at the USA.
Decided that I'm just as proud of my country too...
I'll stick with the good ole High Road and Great, Great land of the USA.
