Why would a guy spend $1000 on a new gun,and then get the cheapest magazines he can find?and then wonder why the gun jams all the time.I think 90% of all auto loader problems are magazine related.....especially if this is a ccw gun, spend some money on good magazines.Dont' get me wrong,I've been guilty of this in my early shooting days. It's like buying the cheapest 3rd world, ass dirty, reloaded ammo and wondering why the gun doesn't feed and takes 2 hours to clean......:banghead:

Good point, but sometimes cheap magizines come with the handgun. Kimber had a problem with this. Their magizines where the cause of many of their service issues.

^First I have heard of that, IMO their very good quailty. I know somone who only has terrible cheapo mags that never function well. The only gun of his that doesnt have cheapo mags is a revolver. If I was him they would have been in the trash a long time ago.

Reminds me of some Trple K mags I bought from MidwayUSA a few years back which seemed like a good deal at the time , I'd wish someone had warned me about them . They were terrible , one would even cause the hammer on my BHP to follow the slide . The good thing about it was Midway issued me a refund and told me to keep the crappy buggers (For some reason I still have them burried some where in the bottom of my ammo locker) .

Careful, there are some people that still think they can consistently replicate factory ammo....I incurred their wrath....:D

During the Klinton ban I bought a 15 round cheapo glock 19 magazine for $20 (when they wanted $80-$120 for factory mags). It never worked. The follower would stick about halfway up and the rounds would just flop around in the mag.

hmmm I saw a bulged 1911 barrel at the range yesterday from someone who claimed a flawless reloading record yet somehow wound up with a squib...

There's nothing cheap on the my HK mags, though some people went cheap by going to Promag. Well, just as about anything else, you really get what you paid for. I guess it's okay for range use. Quality of workmanship of course is not even close. I wish MecGar would start making HK mags :what:

I have dozens of ProMag's that all work perfectly in my S&W autoloaders - 39-2, 4586, 4516, 457, and 5946.

At less than half the cost of factory S&W magazines, I am more than pleased with them...

Wish I could have found some for my 1086...

I agree completely. Also, why spend $1000 on a handgun then whine and cry about the magazines costing $50 or even $70? If you can afford the gun you shouldn't cry about the cost of extra magazines or accessories. Just doesn't make sense to me. If you want spapre mags to be cheap look into that before buying the gun. :banghead: :banghead:

maybe the guy spent all his money on the gun, nothing left for the mags and accessories? :D kind of like people who buys bmw/benz, but can't afford gas at $3.50/gal around here (and that is for the cheap 87 stuff) :D
