View Full Version : What's this shotgun worth?

My neighbor's dad passed away and left her this shotgun. She knows I shoot so she gave it to me.

I told her I'd sell it and give her the money, but she doesn't want any part of it. She doesn't "like" guns.

I think it's an import of some kind. I know they import a lot of shotguns from Turkey, and they're not too valuable. Does anybody know the value of a shotgun imported from Holland? Anybody?

Best offer takes it.

It's junk. But I'll give you $50 for it, just because I'm generous.

If you could take some black Rustoleum and fill in all of those scratches and flowery stuff on the receiver I'd give you a couple of hundred for it. Hell, I'd even throw in an old 870. Tom

English trash. I'll give her $75 just to take it off her hand.

:p

It'd be worth a couple hundred easy if it was transferable - does the full auto switch work?

My cousin just inherited a goofy looking Italian cabinet. There were guns inside but really old fashioned with exposed hammers and all - probably not worth much.

It was in the trunk of a 1958 Chevy he also got, the plate on the back said Corvet but the last two letters were broken off so he isn;t sure what model the car is. It was sitting right next to a red "sports car" that looked Itallian and said smoething like GTO or something like that on it......are the 2 cars together worth $1500.00? With the shotgun still in the trunk I would hazzard a YES.

Wow! What a find. That's an English shotgun and one of the best, too. It's made by Holland & Holland of London. They're quite expensive. If I were you I'd polish off the engraving, blast it with some Aluminum Silicon media, and give it a couple coats of Gun-Kote. It's what I did with the one my Dad gave me and it looks real cool.

It needs a side saddle and folding wire stock.

If you cut down the barrel it could fit right underneath your coat.

If indeed that's a genuine Holland & Holland (they were made in England and not imported from Holland or Turkey), they are extremely expensive. Prices for a legit one range from $4K to $100K.

I forgot which day it was. My bad.

I see his handle is Ysr_racer, that to me screams kid under 17 because the Yamaha YSR is a kid bike. No offense, but that has to be a joke thread...not all too funny in my book, at lest he didn;t post a Erma SR-100 or a MP5A3SD and ask me what I'd pay for it!!!!

Hook, line, and sinker.

I read this thread and kept going back to it. I confess that I almost bit. Some things are too good to be true. Happy April Fools Day!!
