Hey All,

I have an immaculate Hi-Standard SENTINEL .22 revolver my dad gave my mom 35 years ago. Any idea to the value? I may have been the only person to ever shoot it and that was maybe 3 test rounds of rat shot. It's a family heirloom for me. I was just wondering the value. I never looked at it close before and thought it was a charter arms for years.

I sold a near new nickle plated Sentinel a couple years back for $175.00 if that helps.

I have one that my father bought new in 1968. I cost only $58 then, and now I guess its not worth much more. I still have it, and it shoots well.

I do not know the current value.

Trying to recall what the price was in Tulsa a few years ago.
I want to say the one Larry, Chris and I saw , with box and papers was over $200.
I lost it, and had to turn away, and could not buy it that day.

Maternal Grandma presented me with High Standard Sentinel , 9 shot revolver, 4" barrel.
The same gun I have shared about before, many times.

Mine was in the care of the fellow that sired me. I was trying - one more time, to make right , and do the right thing by forgiving him for the past.
He wanted to borrow my gun so he could take out his late in life son, by he and my stepmom and teach him to shoot.
He only did this with me twice as a kid, and both times he was shamed by other men in doing so.
I was trying to do the right thing, and he did take out this boy and his stepdaughter and let them plink.

This half brother sold My gun for dope. I totally lost it. I was too upset to even get mad.
I called every LEO I knew, every pawn shop, had them get into the network and find MY gun.

Yes other guns of mine were taken as well, as well as some guns belonging to the fellow that sired me.

I wanted that Sentinel - it means that much to me. The others on loan...I miss them, but that first gun grandma gave me, learning to shoot, and some know the most meaningful reasons why that gun is so sentimental to me.

Some day perhaps I will get another...
No amount of monetary value can be placed on MY gun...
