I am trying to find the corresponding Anschutz model for a CIL Model 167. I have attached some photos.

Any help greatly appreciated.

It appears that there isn't one. A net search turns up 'CIL/Anschutz model 167' but nothing else. The model doesn't appear on the Gunparts 'cross reference' page either. It wouldn't surprise me if Anschutz made that model specifically for C.I.L. and didn't have one like it of their own.

Thanks for the info I am thinking that might be the case as I have not found info on this rifle anywhere.

Hi. There's not a lot of info on any firearms sold by C.I.L. Canadian Industries Ltd. used to make all kinds of stuff. Now they only make house paint and other household chemical products(gardening and lawn stuff.).
IVI(CF ammo) used to be CIL too. They made the old 'Dominion' brand ammo. Good ammo too. That changed in the late 60's.

What I am trying to find is a catalogue or something with a brochure.

Hi. I suspect you're looking at a gun show. Maybe. CIL hasn't sold firearms for 30 years or more, but catalgoues sometimes appear at gun shows. There's no collector interest in CIL stuff, but you never know what will be at a gun show.

I was at a gun show last week and saw the same rifle fitted with a scope and I thought that it was an Anschutz as I couldn't see the name on top of the receiver. The reason I was interested, is because I bough a couple of years ago a CIL Model 111 made by Anschutz in 1964 and it needs a new extractor.

The model 164 of the show had exactly the same bolt as the 111 and as on your picture. The foreend of the stock was round like yours as compared to flat and beveled one on the 111. The front sight on the 111 is a covered sight but built in one piece and narrower. The trigger is sheet metal chrome plated I think just like the 111.

I remember that Sears was still offering a CIL single shot rifle in their 1967 catalog.

I still have some Dominion 22 lr ammo, standard and high velocity, that I bought in the 70s.
It still shoots great. I prefer it over some of the new ammo.
