9 days 19 hours and 20 minutes :banghead:

...but since I had my range as the FFL, I got to pour 300 rounds through her tonight :D

I have my D-spacer and D-spring in the mail from Beretta, but Blade-Tech is 2-3 weeks out on the carbon-fiber Concealex :(

Oh boy oh boy oh boy!

Edited for stupidity :o

Skunk - you gotta come out to Utah.

No waiting period. Pay for the gun, you can leave with the gun.

I picked up my USP 45 two days ago. Can do nothing but handle it. Has to be "safety inspected" (read that as serial number verified and registered) and in the small village I live in the local police only have one guy who does the inspections on his weekend midnight shift. So I drop it off Sunday and pick it up Monday and then off to the range. Waiting the week while the gun was on order was not too bad. Picking it up to just lock it in the safe for a week is rough!

I find it a bit amusing to pick up my gun and the card entilted "SAFETY INSPECTION CERTIFICATE". Then right under my signature it says "A check for operational or mechanical deftects has not been made of this pistol". Why not just call it what it is?

Oh well, in 3 more days it won't matter :)

It's about time, Skunky!

Sucks about the wait, though. I have a feeling you'll run across accessories for the Vertec sooner than me so if you do drop us a line!:D

I've got the D spacer in mine, too. Cocked and (kinda) locked, baby!

One of the things I dislike about the wait, is that I spend the time buying unnecessary accessories instead of LOTs O' practice ammo! But really, it could be worse, I remember when it was a 14 day wait

The stock trigger sucks. I'm gonna see after I throw in the 92D parts...and maybe the long trigger. Some failures to feed but not sure it's because it's new and I haven't cleaned the thing yet (700 rounds thru it, haven't taken it apart for a cleaning yet)

300 hours in one night? I presume you meant rounds. :D

iowa is better in that way too...once you have your PtA (permit to acquire), you fill out a form, show the plastic, and out the door you go with a new tool. of course, our CCW laws kinda suck too, at least in Linn county. not sure what i'd say as my justification ("to excercise my right to keep and bear arms" maybe?)

Oregon is better. What he said..vvvvv :D
Pick out handgun

The only thing that he left out was the part about filling out that pesky little yellow form and having to roll your thumbs in black ink..;) Oh, and we don't have to aquire any silly "PtA" permits.

" 9 days 19 hours and 20 minutes " :what:

Holy cow! And I thought our 3-5 minute waiting period was a PITA..

pfft! 5 minute phone call?? roll your thumbs in black ink?? we ain't got none of that. well, once, you have to go to the county sherrif's office, fill out a form, and pay 5 bucks. Then they run a background check and send you your permit in the mail in 3-5 days. Mine took a week. After you have that, no silly on-the-spot background checks.

course, i'm not sure what happens if you forget to bring it with you, or accidentally run it through the washer. :uhoh:

just to clarify, it's not a "waiting period" so much as it just takes a while to run a background check (hell if i know why, when a long rifle BG check takes 5 mins), then the wait for the USPS to deliver it. not sure why mine took a week (including weekend).

Finger prints! One time stops at the Sheriff! I did that too, and got a CCW for the trouble.

Last 3 states I've lived in; WI, FL, VA and NV, require only the yellow form and the phone call. No shell casing, fingerprints, waiting period, interview, sperm sample, pledge to the flag or secret handshake.

Oregon did away with the secret handshake a few years ago..
