This was written by Bruce King of the Pink Pistols web group. Thought some of you would enjoy it...

Liberals, in general ( in my experience ) , are much more comfortable
with meek victims because it supports their view of themselves as
righteous champions of the downtrodden. They think in categories and
pidgeonholes like most people and need to keep everything very simple so
they don't get confused. GLBT's , to them, are wispy, frilly, English
majors and flower arrangers with a few butch dykes tossed in for color
and balance ( but everyone knows 'women' are gentle nurturers by
definition, even if they're queer so all that 'motorcycle mama'-stuff is
pure theater ) who break out in hives at the very thought of violence
.... and their oppressors are stone rednecks who drive pickups with gun
racks, fly rebel flags, worship Waylon Jennings, keep a pinch between
cheek and gum, road hunt and are charter members of that bastion of
fascistic big-bore ammoheads, the NRA
for whom rolling faggots is an understandable recreational outlet with
the redeeming value of upholding family values.
For GLBT's to pack heat and know how to use it, have enough available
aggression to match any attacker, be active members of 2nd Amendment
groups and have no talent at all for interior design muddies up their
rigid setpiece vision of the way things are. And it threatens their
righteous image of themselves as stalwart shepherds of we queer little
lambs who are easy meat for roving wolves. In its own way, their vision
is as condescending
and demeaning as that of your average bigot.

Someone in that area needs to get that guy in this forum. He sounds like a lot of fun. Seriously, he would definitely be an asset to the community. Anyone in that area that has time should look him up and tell him about the forum here.

I have serious problems with most of the Pink Pistol people I've met :cuss:

They seem to be able to afford guns I can't!! :cuss: :banghead: :cuss:

Other than that, great tagline!

My stepsister is 'outdoorsy'; flannel shirts, Timberlines, short hair, no makeup, drives for UPS...you get the picture.

She's an absolute joy. She and I used to hunt and target shoot together; she was my spotter when I shot competitively. She also is pretty dang good with a 1911. I need to mention Pink Pistols to her. I don't know why I've not before. Guess some things are just understood, but then again, some things are meant to be shared.

Any Pink Pistol folks out there? Welcome.

Regards,
Rabbit.

Cool!

Coming from your typical white guy NRA/GOA member, I welcome any man or woman, regardless of color, race, or sexual orientation, who believes in the Bill of Rights as written.

I don't understand the small number of folks in the KABA community who have it in for homosexuals and people of color. Who cares? They share our all-American values. That's what matters.

To stay on topic, EXCELLENT rant! It's always nice to see when people realize how condescending and bigoted the "we're just trying to take care of you" attitude of the left truly is. And I LOVE the "be armed or be harmed".

Yeah, Lonnie, because they got way off topic. Talking about gun people who happen to have some shtick different from most of us is not the same thing as a discussion of the shtick itself.

Heck, I even know some Democrats with guns! More strangely, a couple of Liberals, even!

How did liberal come to mean anti-gun rights?

Liberal is a relative term. I'm a liberal compared to a lot of you guys. Just a pro-gun, pro-police, pro-military liberal. And I mean pro-police, NOT pro-police state by the way. Liberal in the sense that I believe that government sometimes has to help people out.

I find it infuriating that liberals who profess to support individual civil liberties want to unleash the dogs of war on gun owners simply because they own guns. They come up with these tortured, flatly dishonest interpretations of the 2nd Amendment and then they want to send the cops to kick down doors and bash in skulls of people who have committed no crime. It's disgraceful. Private gun ownership and true freedom are inseperable.

For all the aforementioned reasons, I will never join the democrats.

Hopefully one day gun ownership will be recognized as the indispensable civil right which it is. Hopefully, some day the democrats will be like Zell Miller, who gave one of the best pro-gun one liners I ever heard: "I have more guns than I need, but not as many as I want." Hopefully some day gun control will be looked on as what it is: a tool of tyrants and fear-mongering demagogues.

Until that day, when other liberals bring up the subject of guns, I look them straight in the eye and say: "I ain't giving mine up."
