I have a few mags that are in poor shape. I have ordered new springs and followers for them. I took them apart a couple of days ago and cleaned them up. When I got home last night my son had taken a can of regular Krylon spray paint to 2 of them.. He did a good job but I thought that they needed a Moly or Teflon embedded paint or something like that...

Is the Krylon okay or do I need to strip them down and order some of the Moly/Teflon stuff????????

Somebody please steer me in the right direction.
Thanks,
dt

Krylon should be fine. As long as the mag can easily be attached and removed, you have no problems. I use Permaslik, but it's pretty expensive. I think $20 a can and you have to mail order it unless you know a place that stocks it locally for you.

Magazine finishes are going to wear off. That's just the nature of it, especially if you use the magazines a lot.
