Anything special about a Wingmaster C&R?

I've got a Wingmaster C&R made in 1955 that I just picked up on a whim. It appears to be stock except that the recoil pad's been replaced with a Limb Saver. Is there anything special about it that would command a premium in its value or is is age just a number in this context?

Also, does anyone know if the Shell Latch is supposed to be unattached to the receiver or if it's just broken?

The shell latches should be staked into their recesses in the side of the receiver, you'll see the beveled places on the latches themselves where they are to be staked. There are a couple of special tools to do the job, and it really does take one or the other to do it without messing up.

Unless it's something special for some reason, it's just a plain Jane working 870 that happens to have a little age on it. Shouldn't slow it down one bit. Enjoy it!
