Is the Taurus 72 a copy of the Winchester 1906? Only in mag? I'd appreciate any information. Thanks.

Actually, the Taurus 72 is basically the same as the Taurus 62, but the 72 is in .17 HMR and .22 WMR. The Taurus Model 62 is a copy of the Winchester Model 62, which is an upgraded Model 1906, which is an upgraded Model 1890.
How similar are the Taurus 62 and the Winchester 62? They look identical to me, and I understand most parts interchange, but I have not actually tried to do so. The Taurus 72 looks the same, at least to the eye, except for changes necessitated by the caliber change.
