How are the Dura Coat refinishing products? For someone who has never done any metal refinishing, is it as easy as it sounds? How have your projects turned out? Could I totally mess up my guns and be worse off??

I've done two pistols with it, pretty straightforward process. Big things are
Surface prep
Keep it clean
Mask off any places you don't want the stuff(pin holes, rails, etc.)
Haven't used them enough to really say how durable it is, so far they're holding up well.

it's a "nice" paint, the 3 firearms I have done will be done over with a different coating, perhaps cerakote or do parkerizing. I bought the airbrush/compressor, stripped and prepped and have some of the paint wearing off pretty easy. The loading gate on my .30-30 is still hanging in there but you can see how the pressure of the round has "dulled" the surface and soon I suspect to "wear" thru. Should have done parkerizing as they mention, would adhere far greater.
