I have a Savage 340a 30/30 bolt action rifle. The serial number is 324xx. When was this gun built? Thank you.

I don't know if anyone has the Savage production records, but that rifle was made between 1950 and 1985.

If it has a butterknife bolt handle it is very early. If it has impressed checkering and a beech stock it's very late. They are remarkable accurate guns in hornet 222 225 and 30-30. probably those good savage bbls.
