He was going to buy a Bianchi---any other ideas? Trying to work with a $50.00 budget. Thanks! :)

Also check out the holsters from KC Custom Leather in Springville, AL.
I'm not sure whether Kenneth Campbell has a web-site or not?

From looking at the picture you can gather I like Uncle Lou's Hard Shell Talon holster a lot! I missed the on the waist band part, something like the second photo should work well. The second photo is a holster by Kramer and it is a dandy. Regards, Richard:D

Rafter S gunleather, at www.raftersgunleather.com is worth exceeding your budget by the extra five bucks or so if you want artisan craftsmanship at gun store pricing, if you have that option.

I sold all my other holsters and only do Rafter S now, and unlike a lot of the holsters in the price range that Rafter S charges, the mouth of their OWB holster stops at the top of the cylinder so that you don't have a flap of extra leather curling away from the frame of the holster. It looks alot more finished, and allows the use of almost any replacement grip, especially the Barami Hip Grip, which I also use.

I have several holsters from DeSantis, including a OWB for my S&W model 640 that I really like. They are little more than $50 but not much.

I also have some from DeSantis that are some of my favorite OWB's. I have an old Bucheimer belt scabbard w/ thumb break that is by far the best OWB holster I have for a J frame.

Blackhawk makes a fine leather Speed Classic that will fit your J frame and it is well within the buget; check sportsmansguide.com....last time I looked they were selling these for under $40.

Also, this gentleman crafts a affordable yet sturdy pancake holster that hold up under hard use.

+1 on the Blackhawk speed classic. One of the best ever made for a j-frame. Click this link for my review and photos.

Watch ebay for Pop and he can get lots for $50-most barely used.
