Star Bullets - Need My Memory Jogged

I'm trying to recreate one of my older .40 S&W loads that used Star bullets. (I'm under the impression they are no longer in business.) My question is: were Star bullets actually FMJ (like Remington, etc. makes) or were they plated bullets like Rainier makes? Thanks for any help.

I shot Star .45 FMJ while available and still have a carton of 9mms. They are true FMJ with lead cores exposed at the base. I would assume their .40s were, too.
I now load Zero .45s which do ok.
You should do some chronographing to recreate a known load, the Zero bullets give me higher velocity than the Stars with the same powder charge.
