New Bulk Brass is out of round

Just got my first 100 new brass from Midway. It's 8x57 Mauser by R-P and most of the case necks are out of round. Midway included a little blue slip stating that this is common and may even have dents below the case neck.
What gives? Will resizing the case put the neck back into round?
Thanks

I always run new bulk brass through the sizer for this reason. It will fix them.

Concur. Make sure the area is well lubed.
I have crushed a few cases. Just below the neck/shoulder. Didn't see or feel an outside burr. But, the bullet seating die found it.
I pull the Depriming pin. Lube the case real good. And resize, the area just below the shoulder. All Good. :D

Finding that new, bulk, brass is out of round is, in my experience, not really all that uncommon. Lube them lightly and run them through the sizing die and all should be well.

It's Normal. Size them, trim them, load them, shoot them.:)

It's "bulk" brass, which means it was packaged in large plastic bags, put into a cardboard box, thrown on a truck, and shipped to Midway. It was then repackaged, probably into another plastic bag, put into another cardboard box, thrown on another truck, and shipped to you. It's going to get some rough handling between the machine that made it and your front door. That's why it needs to be run through a sizing die. I also trim and chamfer all new rifle brass before loading, for consistancy.
Bulk brass costs less than packaged brass, since packaging and special handling cost more money. Just prep it and then load it.
Hope this helps.

Normal as the day is long. Resizing and trimming new brass is the first thing I do with the stuff.:)

Ok - I get it. I lubed them and ran some through the sizer and all is well.
Thanks.
