The Ivory grips on the Champion are one of my favorites. I have a set of Mesquite wood grips but I don't think I have a picture, I'll keep looking

Rob Simonich's Gunner Grips are my favorite. I've got 'em on both of my 1911s:

I was showing my wife the Hakan Pek grips this morning and going on about how nice they looked. She said "Happy Fathers day, order some!"

The Ranger grips in the photo will probably be up for sale when I get the Hakans.

I would love a "Timmy" myself.

I still like my tiger-stripey African mahogany best, but those Simonich grips are pretty cool.

I have no idea who made these, but they really look good on my parkerized Colt 1991. The black "pebbling" blends the wood and the steel together.

I think those Simonich grips would look real nice on an AR15 with the Pearce 1911 grip conversion.

I sort of got them from his website, I found his phone number there and called him to order them. :) That's actually my second set, the first set is on my IPSC gun and I liked them so much I ordered them for my new Professional Model before I even ordered the gun!

I think they're about $50. He ships via USPS Priority too so you get them in just a few days. Great grips, great service.

He was just awarded some sort of contract to supply theses grips to the Marines too. There's a thread about it at the 1911 fourms.

George, good attempt to display your paintball saavy, but alas...it isnt a shocker...it is an Impulse, by Smart Parts.

ALso, do me a favor, shoot an impulse before you buy an Intimidator (Timmy)...You will fall in love, and save some money.

But if you want to see a Shocker with pearl grips...I happen to have one of those laying around also. :D :neener:

The grips on DSK's aren't Hakan, they do pop up from time to time on ebay. Sellers name is Gunsmoke or something to that effect. They are some good lookin' grips.

Hakan is doing a set for me to. Flame birch in the shadow pattern. The Mrs. is getting them for my b-day. I will post pics when they get here. Definately get ahold of him if you are interested. He is perhaps the nicest fellow I have ever dealt with in this business, and the pictures tell everything about his artistry.

I got 'em direct from Rob. His website is here (http://www.simonichknives.com/). I just order them over the phone. I don't think he makes thin grips yst and now that the Marines gave him a big contract they'll probably be moved to the backburner. Give him a call.

I like my VZ Gatorbacks a lot, too, but, since this picture was taken, I have gone back to my favorite, which is gaboon ebony double diamonds. I guess I need to take some pics.
