7.65 is .32
It is NOT listed in The Blue Book but it sounds German, or Austrian.

If yes (i suppose so) then it is a Czechoslovak CZ-27 produced during German occupation of Czechoslovakia.
7,65m/m in this case is same as .32ACP

Yes ! that is the little beastie, thank you. Any idea if they are worth much, the one I am looking at (buying) appears to be in similar condition to the one you pictured as far as a bit of muzzle wear etc. Would this be a safe shooter, after having a gunsmith check it over first that is, or ....?

It should be perfectly safe to fire. The value generally runs around $250 for one in average condition, maybe $350 in super condition, but early dates bring more and the uncommon Kriegsmarine (German Navy) issue goes for three times that.

It was a very common German WWII pistol; not only were hundreds of thousands brought back by GIs but more thousands were imported from various sources in the post-war period. The most common defects are a grip broken off at the lower front corner, or a broken sear spring. Both reduce the value considerably.
