Oregon Rabbit Hunting Questions!

Going to go rabbit (jackrabbit) hunting for the first time this weekend. But have a couple questions... I have scoured the OR Fish and Wildlife website to no avail... all I know is that I don't need a liscense, and there is no closed season or limit on jacks.

-I have read that jackrabbits are out en masse during the night... is it legal to hunt them at night?

-I have read people "spotlight" them from a truck... Can you do this on public land? (BLM land)

-As I understand it, if you aren't hunting from a vehicle (which may or may not be legal?) you just walk around and try and flush them out?

I'll be using my 870 express with #6 shot, and/or my marlin 795 with mini mags.

I know this post is a little late, but I do believe you need a hunting license to hunt anything in OR. It is NOT legal in OR to hunt at night on public land, however it can be on private land, with explicit permission from the landowner to do so. Certain other conditions apply, check the regs online.
