Pops and bro and I stopped in....
better show than I have seen there lately.....I actually say some Makarovs, and reasonably priced at that!
Dad picked up a Hungarian M44 for us to fix up for 55 bucks, not a bad deal

where and when was it?

Ever since it moved out of front street, I have slowly stopped going. Haven't been to a show since....this time last year I think.

The one that is held at the old Blue Ridge Mall seemd to be mostly a big swap meet, and the one held up by the Airport on 112th is better, but I noticed the past few times I went, there were no reloading suppliers present?!?! That's the main reason I go...
Heard a rumor that the 112th place wouldn't allow 'explosives' to be sold. :(

Which one? there are a couple in town this weekend.. the one out at the airport (which moved its location to a new building out there)
And the RK show at the new OP Convention Center on College and Metcalf.
I went to it yesterday, not bad it was bigger than a couple months ago.. but not spectacular.

I thought it was funny though that the convention hall just below us had a Mary Kay convention going on :)

I went to both of them. Yesterday the R.K. show at the Overland Park Conventin Center and today the U.S. Weapons Collectors, USWC, at the KCI Expocenter. Both had about the same number of tables. R.K. said they had 700 and USWC had a few less. I thought the turnout was small at both. Today being a Sunday I expected a small turnout at the USWC, but it was smaller than I expected.

Talked with several of the vendors and almost all said the shows were slow and they would most probable lose money. In fact one said that of the last three shows, not necessarly here in the KC area, he has lost money at all three. I remember that when USWC was at the I-435 & Front street all of the shows were full of attendees for the three days. The vendors were selling their wares and everyone got a deal. What has happened in the last year & a-half? Do we have as much money to spend as we had a few years ago? Is NAFTA working? I don't think so.

I was going to go to both, but ran out of money at the OP show (bought lots of ammo). I wish I would have tried the one by the airport first if they had some Makarovs, I been looking for one.

Didn't go to either one and the last one I went to wasn't that great? I'm not sure whats going on, or maybe it's that I don't have any disposable income to dispose of :( aww well, back to the salt mine:barf:
