I want to put a red dot scope on my Vertec to have fun at the range like I do my Neos but since its my daily carry gun I'll need to be able to remove it after the range session. I swear I saw a picture of an XD40 with one on it somewhere. It just clipped on the rails and came off easily like my M3 light does now. When mounted it came around and over the slide like a target pistol but wasn't permanently mounted.

Any help would be appreciated:confused:

I don't think so - yet.

The problem with such a general item is that it would have to clear the width of a Beretta slide and the height of a S&W, or whatever is tall. So on some guns, the mount will just be huge.

The EGW mount that replaces the grips seems like a better way to go.

Have you tried the B Square website? B Square makes several different types of mounts for different pistols. The mounting surface is usually a weaver type mount.

Tman: Do you have a link?

Handy: Same question.

Well, here's the answer to both questions:

Grip and rail mounts. Not too pricey.

Yup. I know HK does. I had one for my .40 USP.

After I got it I decided I didn't like it scoped, so I sold it after about 5 weeks. Used it only 2 or 3 times.
