Guns of New Mexico?

Hi all!
I'm heading out to New Mexico for a friend's wedding next week.
Are there (m)any places that offer Class 3 rentals?
Public ranges?
Gun shops that I really shouldn't miss?
I'll be in the northern part (Albuquerke to Taos area)
Thanks.

Nothing too exciting. Lots of decent stores. The Albuquerque city range on the west side is pretty cool. There are also three gun clubs with ranges around the city, but most other cities (except Los
Alamos) just don't have ranges - folks just shoot out in the desert.
Calibers indoor range (just off the freeway in N. Albuquerque) may have full-auto stuff for rent. August Arms in Rio Rancho (W. side of river, NW of Albuquerque) definitely sells the full-auto stuff.
PM me if you want info about chow or whatever, or if you want telephone #s for any of these places.

I went to NM two years ago. Loved it. :D
I was staying with friends in the Rio Rancho area, bout 15 min from Albuquerque. There was a range their but if I recall, they were having some trouble keeping their license. :( Still, check it out.

Yeah, that's the Del Norte Gun Club. They're in the process of building a mega-range, but I don't think you can shoot there now.

The Del Norte range is still under construction. It will be huge when it is complete.
I usually just go out into the desert anyway instead of going to a range as I live a longways from any of them. It is closer to drive into the desert from my residence.
Calibers is a nice indoor range but a little expensive for my tastes. If you are a gentlemen gunner it will be perfect.
If you are an NRA member you can go check out the Zuni gun range. It is pretty nice.
August Arms up here in Rio Rancho does sell class III weapons, but I find the man offensive and his store is a dump.
Los Ranchos gun shop on 4th street is the gun shop I frequent. Good people and decent prices, not to mention a Ruger dealer... :D
Peterson's on Central has a good selection most times, but the prices are a little high
Charlie's Sporting goods has a lot of selection but their prices reflect that they like the weapons better than I do..

Can't argue with any of that. Might also stop into Precision Arms on Menaul, the Shooter's Den on San Mateo, and the Outdoorsman (in SF at the DeVargas Mall).
