The first Madsen I've seen in ages, and it's immaculate! I can't wait to get it to the range.

Does anybody else have any experience with these things? There's not exactly a wealth of information out there on them.

I picked it up at Cabella's. Some guy had just traded it in, and they had it sitting in the back room still. I got a little hosed price wise, but being the first one I've seen it went home with me.

Interesting, had never heard of it. So only the 30-06 Colombian version made it out into the word, eh? Century hasn't ground off thier bolts, have they?

about 3 years ago; while driving out in rural tennessee; I noticed an
auction in progress. I stopped and walked around the items lined up
in the front yard. Three firearms were on the kitchen table. One was
a battered marlin 336 in 30-30, one was a mossberg pump 12 ga, and the
last was a Madsen in 100% condition. It left with me for 175, no tax.
It seems to shoot less than 2" groups at 100 yds with good LC ball.
The peep sights are one of the more visible sights in my opinion. It is
largely unknown; but is an excellent weapon. Also it has a original rubber
recoil pad. It needs one; as it is chambered in the full strength 30-06
caliber.
