Does anyone know where I might find grip extentions for a Rap 401? I was wondering if the extensions, made by Pearce Grips, for the Kahr K9 /K40 might fit. Any help would be appreciated.

they might.
my hand actually fits all three fingers on the grip. it's tight, but it fits. i love this gun.
the magazine is easy and fairly obvious to take apart, you may want to do that before you go to the store and maybe even take the baseplate with you to size with the package.
RAP!
300 + rounds, mix of winchester, sellier and bellot, and cci blazer
next up: FMJ wolf and maybe some hydrashoks
not one hiccup so far
(and i still got all 3 of my sights)

Also, I wondered about the AStra mags that have the pinky extension...do you think that pinky base plate will fit the RAP mags?
Not that I really need it...I can get all fingers on the grip as it is...I was just curious.

You can get Astra A75 mags with the pinky extension from fourfourmag.com. I have two for my RAP. Both fit fine. Personally, I prefer the regular mag.

Hornsmoker...do they really fit fine??? Like if someone was unfamiliar with the RAP would he think the Astra mags were stock?
And how is the reliability of the astra mags as opposed to the stock RAP mags?
And since you dont like the astra mags much, are you willing to sell one of them?

Hi arinvolvo,
I believe the mags from this site are made by ProMag. When brand new, there was a slight difference in the amount of force needed to fully seat as opposed to the original. Release would still drop out like normal. I originally ordered the nickel plated mags, but they were on backorder for more than 6 weeks - finally gave up and got the blued instead.
As for selling, you could do better here:

horn, I went ahead and ordered some of the finger rest basplates from Promag....I want to see if they will slip on my RAP mags....
I love fiddling with stuff.

arinvolvo, let me know how those +P loads work out. personally, i'm staying away from +P, given that i live and work and go about my daily routine in an urban setting here, and additional penetration is not something i really care about.
been shooting only cheaper 115gr FMJ and JHP in it so far... CCI blazer, Sellior and Bellot, Winchester whitebox, Wolf, etc., not a single hiccup yet
