This morning I was listening to Paul Harvey and he ran an item on three strange critters sighted in Chester Township area of Ohio.

They are said to look like a cross between a goat and a deer. Apparently no one so far has been able to ID them.

Have any of you Ohio THRers heard this story. Can't find a picture but I'd like to see one.

Assuming no horns/antlers are involved it sounds like a lama.

I haven't heard of this. If I see one, I'll shoot it and then we'll know.

Sounds like infant bigfoot. They often break into my kitchen and raid the pantry.

In TX a few years back when the emu market crashed people got tired of feeding the dang things and turned'em out to fend for themselves.

I'm not sure what the h-ll somebody does with llamas or alpacas from a commercial POV but I bet when and if photos turn up on these critter it will be one or the other.

Probably not chupacabras.....taste too much like chicken :)

They produce a very high quality wool.

I used to enjoy Paul but after hearing him on gun control one day lost all interest. If you hate guns and are outspoken about it on national media, I will not be one of your listeners.
Just one very small way I protest gun control. KInda like network news I quit that years ago. Or if your company supports gun control I will get by without whatever it is you sell. I kinda miss Cherry Garcia but oh well.

Worked with a guy that had ate one, he said it rememded him of deer. I guess they were drinking and one of his friends had one he wanted to get rid of and didn't know what to do with it. Roy came up with the idea of " Lets eat it' so thats what they did. LOL

PH is anti-gun

I did not know that but it's darn disappointing. I've always enjoyed his show but that's 100% sure fire way to get me to ignore his program.

Years ago a fellow named Doug Limrick (sp?) was reading the news when he came unhinged on the issue in a way on Sarah Brady could appreciate. Needless to say I switch off his voice every time it pops onto my radio.

PH is anti-gun?

I just did a 15 minute or so search on Paul's thoughts on guns, and everything I can find is positive. Which is what I would have expected if I had not heard some thought he had to say one day last fall. I wish I could back up what with more than " I know what I heard" but I can't. In fact ( embarrassed here) I can't remember the exact subject matter he was saying except it pertained to guns. I was sitting a pickup with my dad eating lunch next to a stream, on a large ranch, where a house was not in sight and had the radio on listening to his daily show. It may have been about so called " assault guns" or some aspect of guns he is against, I just remember it made me angry enough to turn him off and Dad and I discussing it a bit, and both being somewhat surprised... Sorry I can't substantiate that. He sounds pro gun, what I could find, so it must have been some law, or gun, or mag amount he has ideas against is about all I can say...

So many people have gotten exotic animals as pets- legally and illegally- and either turned them loose or had them escape that there's no telling what's running around.

Here in OK people have seen what appears to be a wallaby running around, among other things.
