Above is the official Request For Information for a new USAF handgun. What are the odds that this will actually result in a production contract award in the end?

That was one general commenting on personal prferences. This is, as indicated in the document, a continuation of an earlier RFI. It's good to see that they're continuing the project.

Why the sigh? It's a link to a memo, dated 16 April 2007, which follows up on the RFI from Oct 2006. This is new info with an official document linked. Having just been honorably discharged from the USAF I'm interested in seeing the updates.
