Has anyone heard anything more about the CZ RAMI? The last i heard was that it was supposed to be imported sometime this year. I did a search through the forums but no one has posted anything recently.
If i can get this in 9mm i will be VERY happy.
Here is some linkage for those that havent heard about it.

Ya, if they get the RAMI here, and keep it around 300, I will definitely get one...they look like great little pistols.

What kind of time frame are we looking at here? Months, Years, Decades before it's imported?

Late '03/Early '04
I expect it in at about $350, but who knows...
CZ also has a .40SW in their 75B compact coming as well....same time frame. That will be very cool!

As far as the delivery time for the little RAMI...god help the importation laws.....CZUB runs on their own calender. Kinda like it Taurus or EAA said yould have your gun back in a week....:D :what: In the history of new guns coming out since CZUSA started distribution..nothing has been even remotely close to "on time"......
Id honestly expect the $ to be in the $400's. CZ pricing is going up and with the release of a new model...made for us here in the states.....and if its released next year......pricing will go up.
This isnt a bad thing in my mind.......CZ's are worth more than they have been selling for......
In another thread the Sig 239 and CZ PCR are compared....the PCR is everybit as good as the Sig. Prices on these guns are "evening out"....Sig pricing is coming down slightly and CZ's are going up...more than slightly around here and getting very very close..................a fair situation.
I hope the little RAMI makes it through importation.....Im tired of carrying my CZ 9MM SA in my ankle holster........:what: :neener:

The CZ 75 compact in 40sw is the one that will wait for, the CZ 83 is one of my favorites also.

The REAL 01 was supposed to fit in the palm of your hand and be a "pocket" nine. What happened to that! I don't see the pig deal about the 01 they're selling now compared to the PCR.  :scrutiny:

The Rami might just be a good alternative to the Rohburg that is coming out. I understand the Rohburg is in the $900. range, so if the Rami comes out in the $400. range, that will be fine with most of us. CZ has a long history of manufacturing guns whereas Rohburg is a newcomer. While I wish them well, I won't plunk that kind of cash down on an unproven company and gun.
To those of you that will, I will await your commmentary on this forum. ;)

My spelling mistake. The gun I was referring to is spelled
Rohrbaugh. Sorry for the foul up.

Bren actually the PO1 was always an "improved version of the PCR" which it really isnt....its just different.
I heard the same rumor...but it was never that way if you ask CZUB.....just thought yould like to know............................

I'd live to have the little CZ with the BD option as a decocker. I think it would be a better little carry piece. If the trigger is good, I'll even take a DAO.
Is this a double or single stack?
I hope the mags will come with a pinkie finger extension too.
Thanks

Jiml3, the RAMI is not an alternative to a Rohrbaugh. The RAMI is larger in every dimension, especially thickness and weight, but it does cost MUCH less.

The rumor is that the RAMI will also accept compact and full size CZ mags.

It looks like it is a bit bigger than the P11 - 1" longer and ~1/4" wider. That is not quite pocket sized for me, and substantially bigger than the Rorbaugh.
It is sort of a pity - I was hoping for something more compact, along the lines of the Kahr PM9. I love my CZ 75 so I'll probably get one anyway.

I'm thinking that the RAMI is going to be a compact pistol along the lines of a Glock 26 rather than as a sub-compact/bug like a Rorbaugh or Kel-Tec.
And the rumor is that it will indeed take fullsize CZ magazines.
All I can say is W00T! Can't wait for it.

The RAMI looks to me to be almost exactly the same size as the Sig P239 so hopefully there will not be a problem importing it. Let's just hope it works. I was just thinking of getting a239 but now I think I will wait. Looking forward to having one in my hand.

The Rami is more like the size of a Kahr rather than the 239. The PCR is pretty close to the same size as it is...just a tad thicker.
It should prove to be a worthy carry piece.

Here are the dimentions of a few pistols
P-01 239 RAMI
length 7.2" 6.6" 6.56"
height 5.3" 5.1" 4.71"
width 1.4" 1.2" 1.26"
I did conversions from MM to come up with the RAMI specs.

That slide release button bothers me. I wonder if I'll be able to hit it with my right thumb. It's different.

Actually, I think there is no manual slide release. In fact, there's probably no hold-open either.
