I noticed these mags:

Will these work for a regular 1911...at first I thought they were for an XD but I'v seen them on cheaperthendirt.com and other sights under the 1911 mag section...the way they look doesnt seem like they would fit in the mag well???

I just got a new Springfield TRP Operator and it came with a "loaded" coupon...I was gonna use it but I have heard people say (I think on these boards too) that thier mags have crappy springs, any one experianced this, if so I think it would be better to just spend the extra 10 bucks per mag and go with wilson combat.

From the photos in the links, these are for the "widebody" Micro Compacts which are basically P12 and P10 clones. You can get the 10 and 12 round para mags which are what I use in my Springfield widebody. The SA mags that came with mine appeared to be Pro-Mags made for Springfield. I've since junked them for Para mags, not that these are without their own problems (weak springs, poor dimensional QA/QC) but unlike the Pro-Mags I've been able to make them work.

There's 10-round single-stack mags that Springfield makes. I've got one in stainless steel - works fine in a 'regular 1911'. I think the mags you brought up are for the double-stack 1911s that Springfield makes. They're not interchangeable with single-stack mags at all.
A single-stack 10-rd mag will stick out three or so inches below the grip.

i had the single stack springer in my SA 1911. bought it right from them direct.
