Interstate transport of NFA weapons?

I have a form4 conversion bolt UZI machine gun. I plan on visiting my family in MT over the 4th of July. I live in KY I understand that as long as I lock the gun up (unloaded ) in the trunk I can transport the gun to MT. I have filled out a 5320.20 and sent it off the first week of May. I still have not heard from the ATF. I put in the reason why box " to display my personal collection" Does this mean if I do not hear back in time that I can not take the gun? How long does this process typically take?

If you transport a NFA Weapon without a approved 5320 you commit a Felony.
