Hey all! I was just wondering if anyone carries any of the DA/SA pistols that allow cocked and locked carry (ie. CZ, or Taurus pt-92). And if you do...Does anyone carry it that way?
Thanks,
APBT

I carry mine decocked. I can be almost as accurate with the short DA pull as I am with subsequent SA pulls.

I would think it would be much safer to carry decocked with safety off. To me it is faster to draw and shoot the first round double action than it is to draw, take off the safety and fire. I, personally, think there is no need for SA accuracy with the first shot - speed is what counts on the first shot, then you can follow up with accuracy on the second shot in SA.

I tried the pt-92 but I went from safe to decock a couple times on a fast draw and fire. So I just leave it DA first shot

I prefer decocked. If I wanted to carry cocked and locked I would use a 1911.

As soon as my license shows up I will be carrying my CZ75 in condition 1.

When I carry, my CZ will be condition 1.

As has been said many times, you can't miss fast enough to beat someone in a gun battle.

Who does not intend to get a hit on the first shot may not live to get a second shot.

Ruger p95Dpr - decocked (no safety). DA no problem, lots of years w/ revolvers ...

HK USP in condition one. I've also carried the Witness "cocked and locked".

Have carried USPc .45 in condition one. By sweeping the safety lever off during the draw I wasn't slowed by using it.

Decocked, safety off. Don't say it's the best way, but I like it fine - in case somebody storms in while I'm asleep. The CZ 70 I have can be carried cocked and locked or decocked and locked. I like that. Rarely use either option on it but I do like some additional features - unless they're plug-ugly.
