Could anyone give me a clue about the Ruger Redhawk in .357 ? I see some Redhawks now and then with 5 1/2" barrels but did they make any with the 7 1/2" barrels or the integral scope mount model?

Discontinued in 1985 my sources say they were available in both barrel lengths for the .357. You say you see them now and then? Let me know if you find one for sale as I have several customers waiting for one.

I just acquired one with a 5.5" barrel and I absolutely love it! The trigger is as smooth as ANYTHING I've ever fired, and the weight and balance is perfect for high-power .357s. .38 Specials feel like a .22...
I was originally looking for a Redhawk in .44, but I *lucked* into this one, I don't think the guy knew what he had.

FWIW, I traded a S&W 4506-1 for it, and I couldn't be happier. I can always pickup a RH in .44, but there were only 5k of these babies produced! :what:
PLUS, it's not quite 100% on the outside (a couple of minor scuffs here and there), but when I was first inspecting it, there were only 2 powder/leading marks on the cylinder face! Unless someone used a liberal dose of some CLP at some point, it may have only been fired twice prior to my possession!

Sorry if I'm ranting like a proud papa, but if I got this thing in blue, I'd dump my wife to marry it!!! :D
