I live in Massachusetts. and we still have a ban on high cap magazines. but now with the brady bill gone its hard to find preban mags because the market is flooded with new mags. so i was wondering if any of you living in real states with access to new mags would be willing to part with there old pre 10/98 mags
thanks

the brady bill madated mags be older than sept 14th 1994 i think, not oct of 98. mass might be different. i have the same problem in NY though.

Orlites were only imported into this country to the early 90s (OR so i was told) so they are almost always pre-ban, because they didn't make them post ban.

i don't have documentation to confirm that, but hopefully someone can straighten it out for you. if you check the arf.com ar-15 mag FAQ they have when a lot of types of mags were produced, and that way you can check to see if they are legal.

Here, in the 'peeples republik of Merlund' (Maryland) we're not allowed to sell, offer to sell, trade, offer to trade, give, or even offer to give, magazines with a capacity over 20 rounds.

I've always wondered what would happen IF someone were to throw a perfectly good (hi-cap) magazine into the wastebasket, then, someone walks up and sees the magazine in the wastebasket, and decides to rescue and RECYCLE said magazine, instead of sending it to the landfill.

jay, good luck finding your magazines!!!!!

the brady bill was from 94 to 04, but the gun hating liberals in this state decided to make there own anal gun laws similar to the brady bill and radified it in 10/98. along with the stringent "assualt rifle" laws stringent laws were put on handguns, and the requierments that a handgun had to meet in order to be sold in this state. I don't know if this bill has a time table or not???? like the brady bill
