Couple of RAP 401 Questions

Just got my RAP 401 today and the trigger axis pin seems loose, is this normal? When I opened the box the pin was sticking out one side slightly and it is real easy to push it in and start to push it out the other side. Seems too loose.
Next question., ordered 2 extra mags with the gun and was sent Astra 9mm/40 mags not original rap mags. Do the Astra mags work well? Wish I would have been sent RAP mags.
Thanks, JR

Jack, who did you order from if I may ask?
And what did you pay for the extra mags?
As for the trigger pin, mine does not do this, so I assume it to be not normal.
And if you test the astra mags, let us know how they work. they are supposed to work fine.
Also, are the astra mags the one with the pinky extension?

The trigger pin is hard to judge with just a verbal description...it doesnt sound normal.
The Astra mags should work absolutely great...the RAP is an Astra Copy/Clone and takes the same mags.........
Shoot well

I got my RAP from Shawn Thayer in Florida.

The Astra mags look just like the factory mag ( no pinky extension) except the follower is a little different and metal. These Astra mags were $12.50 each from Shawn. Thought they would be factory mags. Century lists Astra mags at $13.95 on their web site.
I will hopefully get to shoot it tomorrow to see if the trigger pin moves out any.

Jack, you can always remove the trigger pin, and and tap one end with a ball peen....not on the tip, but along the length...just one side, close to the tip.
Then tap it back into place....the ball peen should mar it up a bit, and make it fit tight in the hole.

One word - Loctite

Put some blue locktite I had on the pin, will see if it holds when I fire it. Wonder why blue locktite comes in a red bottle, one of life's little mysteries, I guess.

I'm pretty sure that Loctite determines the color of the bottles of their particular lines by their purpose, e.g. white for superglues, red for threadlockers, yellow for structural, etc. IIRC, the color of the actual adhesive determines their actual use, e.g. blue for medium, red for high strength, etc. Could be wrong on this, though.
