Seriously, I know many of you are NRA members. I canceled my lifetime membership last year when they endorsed a gun grabber instead of the Honoroable Ron Paul.

Can someone explain this to me?

Maybe because LaPierre likes feral horses and donkeys?

Unless you're a fan of donkey meat, I don't think this is anything to get riled up about. Additionally, it looks like the bill has been dead for some time.

Actually you're wrong:

http://www.washingtonwatch.com/bills/show/110_HR_297.html

HR 297 provides, in the form of grants, about $1 billion to the states to send more names to the FBI for inclusion in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System [NICS]. If you are thinking, "Oh, I’ve never committed a felony, so this bill won't affect me," then you had better think again. If this bill becomes law, you and your adult children will come closer to losing your gun rights than ever before.

I don't understand how spending more money to "Fix" a bad law that does not work in the first place, is a good idea.
