I've heard of places that develop low volume loads for people like a big game hunter going to Africa, but are there companies that will develop a particular load for a rifle and then load a few thousand rounds of it?

thanks,

Yes.

Superior Ammunition and Johnson's Precision Reloading come to mind. They might be a bit pricey for thousands of rounds, though.

Literally for thousands, I know that Load-X will cut you a deal.

They loaded up a summer's worth of a particular .223 load I wanted. Did well, too.

For oddball and obsolete calibers, Pacific Coast Cartridge will do small lots. Here's the link to their site: paccoctg@oregonfast.net

They were mentioned in an article in the April edition of Guns & Ammo Magazine.

Hope this helps.

Here's another one. I see him at all the Chicagoland gunshows, and I'm always scratching my head on some of the calibers he offers. His flyer states that he does Ballistics Research and Product Development.

Ask for Glenn Anderson.
