Yup. It seems that folks are tired of being victims.

I sincerely hope the trend continues.

We are reading more and more about armed store owners and other kinds of resistance to crime.

Is it a conservative backlash after 9/11, Afganistan and Iraq war or is everything the same with increased media attention?

According to the article this happened in Phoenix. Gun ownership there is not restricted at all. Business owners have no restrictions about having them in the shops either.

I voted no on the "should he be charged". He was doing what ever he could to reclaim his rightfull property.
I doubt it is in anyway vigilantyism.
Just creative pursuit and capture.
