Saw a used one is good conditon w/ awesome grips..for $299..is it worth it?

I think that is a great deal depending n how good, "good" condition is. My shop has one just like new w/some pretty wood grips for 520.00

Condition is everything. If it's solid, good condition, and functional then I would say that's a very good price.

It passes the revolver check out..it has a little holster wear,but it was real tight and clean.....

I just bought a 586 (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=270445&highlight=586) with light honest wear and very little signs of firing from a fellow gun show visitor at a recent show. A very pretty revolver to me. I paid $350 walking away money and was happy with it. :)
