I'm planning to order a California-legal Yugo SKS from Centerfire Systems, but I've never delt with this company before and would like to hear about your experiences dealiing wiith them. To make the rifles CA-legal they cut off the end of the barrel with the grenade launcher. I think the shorter barrel will be an advantage for normal use, but I'm concerned about if/how well they crown the muzzle, and if the shorter barrel will effect functioning (still enough barrel after the gas port?). I also wonder if the bayonet still works (though I'd probably take it off anyway).

I would also like to hear about how honestly they grade rifles, and how they are to deal with. Thanks in advance for any feedback on Centerfire Systems in general, and/or on their CA-legal SKSs.

Doug

centerfire is down in versailles, there is no storefront just a room you walk in and they bring whatever you want out to you... it's strange to say the least... but all the shops around here swear buy them, and they do good business...

a buddy of mine bought a yugo 59/66 and the fiberforce stock for like 150 OTD... he had to do the conversion, so if you don't have a vice and some punches, get some.... the rifle was in better condition than my which i paid more for, the blueing is perfect, and he's never had a single problem with it, unlike mine...

i don't know why they'd cut the barrel because the launcher is pinned on, it's a matter of drving out the pins and sliding it off....
