Ruger Single six Problem

I have a Ruger Single Six 22LR/22WMR convertible. But, I'm having a problem with it. After I fire a few cylinders, the empty cases get very difficult to extract. The ejector rod only moves about 1/4" - 1/2" and it seizes up. I think the hole in the frame where the ejector goes through gets dirty. It happens with the LR ad WMR cylinder. I can see how that happens but, I'm surprised it takes so few rounds. Is this a common problem? How can I fix it?

I took the ejector housing and ejector assembly apart and thoroughly cleaned and lubed it. But, I'm still having the same problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Thank you.

No suggestions but I can attest to the same problem. Hopefully some knowledgeable HighRoader will lend us his expertise.

One of my Single Six's ejector rod would pretty sticky after a few cylinders of shooting. I took the rod out and put some fine emory cloth to it and then polished it with some steel wool and it took care of the problem.

You may have rough chambers too and combined with fouling. Not that uncommon these days.
