What do y'all think of the SU-16? Is it accurate, reliable, etc? Is it PRK legal?

i havent heard from anyone who has actually shot one. I know they are supposed to be real handy with the fold down Bi-pod and the magazine storage in the stock.
i think they look kinda flimsy but i'm holding on to a few pre-ban AR mags till I can inspect one up close.:-}

i haven't fired or handled one either but if the Sub 2000 is any indication, i would expect a gun with a solid and reliable action and barrel assembly and mediocre quality in the plastic works. reliablilty and simplicty of operation seem to be strong points for Kel-Tec (based on my experience anyway) and fit and finish and attention to detail seem to be a little questionable. might be a good value if you're not into beauty as much as function. i haven't seen what these things will actually retail for though. i would guess around $350. at least thats about the max i would pay for one. just an opinion.

Kel-Tec is gonna have to keep the price down on this thing. especially if the AWB sunsets cause everyone is gonna want an AR with colapsible stock.
Well not everyone but I think that if they price it anywhere remotely near the AR they will have a hard sell.
I heard about 599.00 and up for the rifle which in my opinion is way too much.

they're also not going to sell it in the PRK, because kel tec doesn't want to sell in california because we're somehow not worthy because of lawsuit law.

The Gun Source is advertising them for $456.59. Add $15 for shipping (flat price) and likely $25 or $30 for your FFL holder. Don't know about availability.

I don't remember seeing any reviews of the SU-16 yet. Everybody liked the SUB-2000, and the design looks good. I haven't fired either.
This Google search (http://www.google.com/search?q=kel-tec+su-16) finds a few other distributors. Strangely, my scan of the Guns and Ammo ad back in January comes up first. Hehe.
