As I get more and more into costly semi-auto shooting (10mm, .45Super, and .50AE)
I want to be sure to keep as much of my brass as possible to reload. Does anyone
make or have any ideas for a catcher so I don't have to hunt down my ejected brass?

You can use a large umbrella concave-up to catch brass if your firearm throws cases to the same area all the time.

A little less easily done, but much more effective, is to rig a tarp so they hit the tarp and roll down into a fold.

kirkcdl, not quite what I had in mind but I can see how that could be usefull.

Hso, I was sorta thinking that. Use a PVC frame and make something like a
taller version of those collapsible camping chairs I've seen in some sporting
goods stores.

I use a E & L catcher and it works great

The pictures seem to be a little deceptive. It looks as if the catchers get in
the way of the sites and perhaps even change how one would hold their
firearm.

Comments welcome.

From the picture it looks like it might get in the way of operating the slide on a 1911.

You can improvise and use an inexpensive goldfish type ~ fish net that can be bought at a pet store. Just bolt it /nail it/tape it down to a small 2X4 and position it so that it catches ejecting case.

The net could also be taped to your shooting Hand.

Total cost is probably less than 5 bucks.

Not pretty,...but effective nonetheless.

Don't you know it's bad luck to open an umbrella indoors?

Just give some kid $5 and a catcher's mitt.

I have used one of these for years. It works great if you do not mins a band around your hand when shooting. It gets 99% if my brass from my Kimber or Ed Brown 1911's.
