After receiving a VERY generous scholarship to the college of my choice, my mother has decided to buy me one hell of a graduation present. I picked a PSL.

Then I saw that CAI just recalled many of them. Does anyone know when they will be back on the market? I don't care about getting a Druganov, I like the PSL better. I've always wanted one, and when I acquire one that'll be just one dream-gun to check off the list. I already have a mosin (thinking of getting another) and a bunch of Czech silvertip for it. I've been doing research on the rifle and such, but the one thing I Can't find it where to buy one. Classicarms used to have them, but they don't anymore.

Anyone know where I can get one?

Have you ever considered an FAL? It is a very similar rifle. They will be easier to find and are just as good of a rifle. FALs are much better rifles in many ways. They can be scoped easily as well if you feel that you have to scope a semi-auto.

Gunbroker.com typically has one or two floating around, but the price is a little steep ($1000 at most!). Last fall I got mine for $700 and honestly haven't seen another one since in this area. When I found that one I scooped it up that second because it had been over two years from the last time I ran across one. Give Century a call since they're swapping out old customers' models for the new ones that can't be modified, maybe they have extras available to the public? Anyways hang in there and good luck.
