Pictured below is a 10-shot .22rf magazine that came with a High Standard Mdl. B semi-auto. According to recognized HS experts, this is the earliest version Mdl. B, but the magazine is believed to NOT be HS.
I've compared it to the mags in my Mdl. 1925 semi-auto Hartfords, my other Mdl. Bs, and my Fiala Mdl. 1920 single-shots. It LOOKS like all of them, and fits very nicely into ALL their mag wells. I do NOT shoot my collectibles so I can't answer whether or not it functions in any or all of these guns.
NOTE: it is open on BOTH sides. Mags for the other guns mentioned are open only on one side. This mag is TWO pieces of sheet steel held to the base for four pins and no sign of a weld. At the top, there is a small spot weld on each side where the two pieces overlap.
Anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks for any help.
