Did Remington ever make a 20" barrel for the 1100? I didn't think they did, so how would I tell if the two I have were a cut downs?

Factory 'deer' or slug barrels with rifle sights for the 1100 were 21" long. Do yours have Remington sights? Their level of fit and finish should be a clue, plus cut-down barrels usually have some sort of choke marking if they were originally a fixed-choke barrel. My 1100 has a 21" factory RemChoke barrel with rifle sights.

They both say MOD on them. Smoothbore, Bead sights, no Vented Rib.
Upon closer inspection, one of the barrels has clean bluing loss on the rim of the muzzle and there is a faint marking around it.
20" makes for a nice handy brush gun for rabbits. Also the perfect length for home defense, IMO.
But if you don't like what you have, selling would not be a problem. eBay'ers will snap them up quick.
