STI widebody in 40, Schuemann bushing barrel, 5" recoil system, the best small parts money can buy. Came in at just 34 ounces empty and feels like the weight is all in the hand. It is incredibly tight and smooth, runs great and shoots great. It is in the white, but will go out for chrome or PVD before long.

Whats recoil like with all ports? Doesn't look the muzzle is going to move much.
Would a chrome finnish be to bright?

NVMM, the barrel isn't ported at all. The holes in the top are just lightening holes through the slide. A standard 5" slide will weigh around 13 ounces bare, this one is just a tick under 11 with sights, extractor and firing pin in it. Less muzzle rise on firing and drastically less muzzle dip on closing are the goals and it works amazingly well. It is about as light as you can go, much if any lighter and it becomes really difficult to get magazines to keep up with the slide. Magazines for this gun are 20 rounds, so the column of ammo weighs a lot. This gun was built to duplicate as closely as possible the handling characteristics of an extremely light 5" competition gun, stay within the rules of the game played, yet gain an inch of sight radius. Turns out I like the way it shoots much better than a 5" gun, it is a lot different than I expected and all in a positive way.

It is an extremely nice shooter, soft for a 40 and very flat. The sight is easy to track and the gun is terribly accurate.

This one will be done in hard chrome or a gloss black PVD, I haven't decided.

This gun has a TON of machine time in it, most of which cannot be seen, to get the weight down as far as it is. Cost in chrome would be $2500ish.

Another neat thing is with a simple spring change this gun will duplicate 10mm ballistics easily if you wanted to hunt with it.

1*, no not yet. There is a thread going over at Enos that has some pictures and reviews though, and it looks great. From what the guys are saying that have it the stuff is well worth it.
