The ammo pouches that are sold with Mosin Nagants are perfect. 4 moon clips back to back (2 x 2) of .45 ACP fit perfectly. Probably not IDPA legal, or something you would want for concealed carry, but in the field or at the range, they work great.
I have one of the pouches on my SHTF LBV with a 4" 625 as my primary sidearm. 48 rounds in the pouch ( 2 x 24) and 6 in the gun.
