As a new owner of an M14 clone, who has the best prices for magazines these days?

Thanks,

Michael

What kept me from buying a M14 was the expensive 20rds mags. Thank God there is Cole Dist. Maybe this Xtmas I jump into the M14 craze.

I've bought about a dozen from them and haven't found a stinker in the bunch.:)

I'll chime in on Coles as well. Excellent product and prices.

Picked up 20 of their "Like new, unwrapped" so far and have had no problems. I plan to keep on buying as spare funds allow until they run out of mags or I run out of money. Once the USGI mags are gone, they're gone.

Another vote for Coles. That is when I bought my M14 mags back in 1985 since I couldn't have bought them anytime after 2000 since they are banned in the PRK. Yeah I know I was eight at the time. I have always been a keen investor!

You might want to try www.cheaperthandirt.com. They have some Springfield Armory 5, 10, and 20rd mags. I've got twenty rounders but I think I would like to try the ten rounders. I've got a pre-ban Polytech M14S that is just WAY COOL. Ya gotta love .308 semi's. Best, John

That sounds similar to my acquisitions. I'm originally from NJ, which has had a ban on the mere possession of >15 round mags since 1991. :barf: :barf: :barf: I didn't have any (or at least I didn't know that I had any  ) prior to that date. But somehow or other, when I left the PRNJ I had about 40 of them. Must have mail-ordered them to my job in gun-free NYC and just plum forgotten....tough spitties to EX-guv Flim-Flam Florio! :neener:

In a related matter...I will treasure the conversation that I had with my (then-unfamiliar-with-gun-laws) wife as we crossed the Delaware Memorial Bridge on the way out of NJ. As we passed the "Welcome to Delaware" sign I turned to her and said "now you won't have to bail me out." After the hoped-for big-eyed look :what: (I like surprising people like that, esp. those that think they know me well), she asked "What! Why?" I then explained the cock-eyed NJ law that would make you a felon and give you a free 5-year stay in the Hotel Rahway for each stamped-metal box above a certain size you possessed. After that she again dropped her jaw, thought about it a bit, shook her head and then asked "they don't have laws like that in Texas, do they?" I just smiled  and told her that Texas is in America, not East Germany.

Briansammo (here and on BattleRifles.com) apparently has a steady supply of brand spanking new M1A mags at a good price - for those ordering to legal shipping addresses.
