Has anyone had any experience with this mount? I'm planning on getting one for my A2 upper so i can mount a red dot in front of the carry handle.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a rail that does the same thing, from a different company?

I've not used owned this particular mount, but have used a number of ARMS products. They've all been first rate. I like the concept and may add one to my Dissy.
You might check in at the Tactical Forums at

Go down to the Marine Force Recon section and post a question to Pat Rogers. He's a top carbine instructor who sees many hundreds of M16s and AR15s in class and many hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammo sent down range per year out of them.

Thanks, i'll do that.
Do you think I would have to use the whole glass bedding thing with the mount to keep a zero? I was hoping that the ARMS would be high quality enough so i wouldnt have to risk welding the rail to my A2 upper :uhoh:

i've used the handle mount ARMS for an aimpoint....not the one you're looking at but the simple one that puts the aimpoint on top of the carry handle so they should fit the same and i've never had to bed it or anything to get it to hold a zero......i used some opf the copycats years ago and did have to bed them so ARMS is the way to go....DICK

I like the Bennie Cooley adjustable mount. It allows vertical adjustment of the mounting rail so you can co-witness multiple types of red dot sights. I bought mine from Bushmaster, but other online retailers sell the mount also.
