My friend found this rifle in his parents old gun safe. The only markings on it are "22LR" and a serial number. The gun is a single shot 22LR. We tried it out this past weekend and it works.

Don't know. Looks like a cousin to the rifle in the old version of the movie, "The Jackal."

It's a Bronco marketed by GARCIA and FIE and I believe one other company. I have one that is .22 over .410 check out www.gunpartscorp.com Goto GARCIA BRONCO I believe they were made in .22 single shot, .22 MAGNUM single shot, .410 single shot and .22/.410 OVER/UNDER combination.

That is the second one of those I have seen. The first was at Green Mountain guns in Lakewood Co and it took us a while to figure out how t worked. Kind of a cool rifle actually.

I worked for a company that had a FFL from the 1963 untill 1999. We were primarily an ag equipment company and sold these for varmint and pest control. As I recall, we first sold the .22 for around $15 and the .410 for $19.95 in the late 60's. I believe that Firearms International and the Garcia Company were importers at one time or the other.
We sold a few to cattlemen, but when the fishermen got wind of what we had, we couldn't get them fast enough. Not a great gun, but a good dependable little shooter. I shot doves once with the 410... once was enough. One of the reps told us that it would handle slugs... oook.
